RECREATION AND PARKS IN BURNABY NORTH, SOUTH AND EAST

Burnaby has two large freshwater lakes, forested mountain parkland naturally, an sea beach, and numerous neighbourhood parks, many with fishbearing streams and channels. These natural features are complemented with two pitch and putt and two 18-opening golfing programs, around 24 kilometers of built metropolitan trails for bicycling and walking, and numerous sport/entertainment facilities. TRANSPORTATION IN BURNABY NORTH, SOUTH AND EAST

With four skytrain stations, four entrances to Trans Canada Highway, and a public bus network which includes communicate and rapid buses, Burnaby has very good contacts within the town and with all parts of the region. The Light Rail Transit task anticipate ten channels in the Burnaby area by 2005. For individuals who prefer bicycling as an initial transportation mode, there's a well developed Routine Road Network.
